May 16 - The State of Things

Thought I'd update everybody on my plans, since in the last week you've really only had the one update from me.

Today, I'm going to aim at getting a Stef short finished (it's almost done, I just abandoned it before it was completed). I'll work on rewriting the Andrea short in the near future, and the rest will be placed on the backburner for a while so that I don't rush them and so that they can actually be the size I want them to be (as both "Agent Mike and his Somewhat Epic Quest for Breakfast" and "The Wizard in the White Coupé" both have the potential to be 10-20k novellas, and I don't want to push them out as 5k shorts).

As to the RAs, I think what I'll be doing is finishing up the first story (which won't be introducing everyone, as a large number of you ran from the Agency as soon as you were free), and set up things in an open-ended way that will be perfect for RP if you want to do that - I'll be setting up another sub-forum as an area to play.

To Birdy...I think at this point, the best thing for me to do would be to take what I have down (or leave it archived here, but not updating), take it, and write it as a side-novel (or novella), as the current format isn't really going to allow for me to tell the story as it needs to be told (there will, of course, be more diary entries in the finished product, but there are sections that cannot be told as diary entries). So yeah...sorry for that. -_- Just be content in the knowledge that me writing Birdy last year helped to keep me sane enough until I had the proper time to work on MH, so it served its purpose, and now just needs to be reworked into a longer work.

Doing all this will let me concentrate on just writing on book at a time (which, for the moment, seems to be what I'm best at, and trust me, when it comes towards the end of GE, you are going to appreciate my ability to concentrate and do crazy updating. Again.).

[Side note: I brought up at a writers meet I went to on Friday that I had done 15 chapters in a week - which I think is how many I did, it was somewhere around there - and I got some of the strangest looks...]

Outside the writing side of things: I've started a wikia, so we can finally start having an organised base of information. And I'll be working on the store over the next few weeks as well. :) (Store name is still being decided, so if you have any ideas, feel free to list them).
